Author Hallie Ermine Rives-Wheeler (1874-1956) in Japanese dress, ca. 1906.
I found a random blog post by author Sarah McCoy at Mischief and Musings while trying to found out more about Mrs. Rives-Wheeler. Apparently, “she married Mr. Post Wheeler, a fellow writer and American diplomat, on December 29, 1906 in Tokyo.” Interesting lady!
